Our second annual conference will be held in conjunction with the English Language Acquisition Academy in Denver, April 21st & 22nd at the Marriott in the Denver Tech Center.
James Green, Ed.D. * Professional Research AssistantJames Green is one of our Professional Research Assistants who earned an Ed. D in Educational Policy and Administration from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. He confers on the content and process of services for school districts with a high percentage of American Indian Students. Dr. Green has experience identifying and facilitating prospective clients within this community. He has served as Assistant Principal at Red Cloud High School in Pine Ridge, South Dakota and has worked extensively with American Indian language programs throughout Region VIII. Since 1992, through the OSEP-funded Alliance and Monarch projects, Dr. Green has been closely involved with tribal colleges and teacher training programs serving K-12 schools in Region VIII. Dr. Green’s primary tasks will be to: 1) conduct specific needs assessments with EAC clients, 2) provide on-site training for teachers and administrators, 3) provide technical assistance on issues of race, gender, national origin and curriculum and effective teaching strategies, 4) specialize on the academic needs of underserved American Indians, 5) assist with the planning and implementation of regional equity conferences, and 6) provide on-line materials and support EAC clients.
