Welcome to the BUENO- Region VIII Equity Assistance Center

The BUENO Center for Multicultural Education at the University of Colorado, Boulder is proud to host the Equity Assistance Center for Region VIII. The Equity Assistance Center is funded by the U.S. Department of Education.

The mission of the Equity Assistance Center is to promote equal educational opportunity in Region VIII public schools in the areas of race, gender, and national origin. Our services include professional development promoting awareness and skills for English language learning, Response to Intervention, and Culturally-Responsive Teaching.

Friday, June 10 and Saturday, June 11, 2011: The Region VIII BUENO Equity Assistance Center is proud to collaborate with the State of Utah Office of Education for the 2011 Equity in Action Conference. Invitations are open to educators, administrators and school staff on Friday, June 10. Parents, community activists and others are welcome on Saturday, June 11.
